Deep Dive into the MySQL InnoDB Storage Engine with Mayank Prasad

We were privileged to have Mayank Prasad, Lead Developer in the MySQL-InnoDB Development Team at Oracle, take us on a technical deep dive into the MySQL InnoDB storage engine. Mayank’s session covered the latest enhancements introduced in MySQL 8.0, including dynamic configuration for REDO logs and the ability to instantly add or drop columns. His detailed explanations and technical insights were highly appreciated by the attendees, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of InnoDB’s evolving capabilities.
